Acrylics aren't my thing but I'm sure you'll conquer them!

Lovely job on Tess, especially with that angle.Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09224954501156534934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1026663412709133764.post-67828582244161344342010-07-27T18:08:16.985-07:002010-07-27T18:08:16.985-07:00Lovely portrait Geraldine, I think you've pull...Lovely portrait Geraldine, I think you've pulled off the perspective very well! If you use sanded papers like Art Spectrum Colourfix or Wallis you can also use acrylics under pastels as underpaintings as well as the background. I think acrylics are *so* much easier than watercolour:)Michelle Wrightonhttp://michellewrighton.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1026663412709133764.post-51664498418721177542010-07-27T12:52:54.266-07:002010-07-27T12:52:54.266-07:00Thanks Sue,

I'm not a painter either ;-) (although I am trying some wet media at he moment) and didn't realise you could use water colour on pastel paper, will definitely give it a go, to save time and also hopefully some of the mess! thanks for the tip.geraldine.boley@googlemail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11070301334106441345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1026663412709133764.post-88880236939805800152010-07-27T11:18:04.897-07:002010-07-27T11:18:04.897-07:00Lovely work Geraldine. This perspective is so easy to get wrong I think but you've made a great job of it.

Is the background all pastel or did you put a wash down? I'm not a 'painter' but on Fisher I have used watercolour washes to save time (and dust)Sue Clinkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15582183867336673426noreply@blogger.com
